I FINALLY TURNED 21 TODAY!!
Today was/still is definitely THE BEST birthday EVER!! I've got more pictures coming, but it pretty much went like this:
*Shopping w/ David at Tiffany & Co. for my bday presents!

*Bday Dinner #1 with David at Spenger's last night. MMmmmmm!!!

*Julie, Bri, Holly, and David surprising me with cupcakes and ice cream at midnight!

*Woke up at 6am to sign documents and buy a house at 8am!!
*Went to class at 10am, left early...went shopping around Berkeley
*Played "hookie" with Mommy&Daddy because lunch and shopping are definitely more fun than lecture! Went to San Francisco with them to have lunch at a French place called "Plouf" (ABSOLUTELY DEEELISH!) and ordered my first glass of legal wine!

*Went shopping with Mommy and Daddy..Mommy and I bought 8 pairs of shoes all together! Ahhh!

*Came home for Meeting and Standards to warm greetings from the girls, 4 dozen roses, flowers, and balloons!

*Bday Dinner #2 at Skate's on the Bay with David, Julie, Bri, Lisa, Kieran, Jason, Craigy, Elvira, Holly, and Christine.

LOOKING FORWARD TO:
*Actually being carded
*Bars tomorrow
*Bars on Thursday
*Seeing my girls from home!!
*Bday Dinner #3: Austria & Africa Family dinner at Papillon on Saturday !!
*David's 22nd Bday on Super Bowl Sunday!!
***Yay for week-long bday celebrations!!!*** (Yes, I do realize that my birthday will be over in just over half an hour...but it just feels so nice!)

Marie:So am I your worst kid ever??
Mommy/Daddy:No, you're just our most expensive one!!

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE FOR ALL THE AMAZING BIRTHDAY WISHES AND MAKING THIS THE BEST DAY EVER! I LOVE YOU!!!

So Christmas was super fun! Great company, great food, great presents!!! On Christmas Eve we had dinner at David's, drove down the street for dinner at my house, went back to David's house to open presents, then got back to my house by midnight to open our presents! On Christmas day we went to David's family party in Tracy then watched Meet the Fockers with my fam. That movie was HILARIOUS! (and definitely not as frustrating as Meet the Parents)  Dustin Hoffman was out of control! Okay, I time to sleep bc we're waking up at 5 to go snowboarding tomorrow!!! Woot!

How I found out that I really am a major BRAT:
Mommy: Sorry Ju, I've been so busy dealing with my clients that I haven't had time to shop for the family.
Me: So you didn't get me that Bebe jacket???
Mommy: No, why would you think that?
Me: Well, you put it on hold and I thought you guys got it after I left..I mean, I..
Mommy: Sorry Juju...I didn't know you really wanted it. I can go buy it right now!! (It's 1am)
Me: *sniffle* No..they're all sold out. The one we put on hold was the last small ANYWHERE..It's okay..I didn't want it anyway...Don't worry about it (and by this point I've already started to cry)

Guess what..my mommy did get me the jacket that day and another white Banana Republic pea coat!! Goodness..I really am a brat! Don't worry..I'll learn to stop being so bratty..

PICTURES!

The Africa family picture (plus me)

The Austrias with Audrey (David and I got everyone Fun Feet!!)

David and the puppy!

 Me with the woofer

!!! But he peed on my shirt !!!

The siblings being our nutty selves. We usually put on ALL of our presents and take a picture with all of them! It's cute..

With my sissy pie

I learned how to be a brat from my mommy..look at her! Hahahahaha..and my daddy in his new Oscar de la Renta suit.. Oh Mommy and Daddy!!

They're crazy!

So, I'm super stressed out about final projects and my upcoming finals.  I also think all this stress is making me sick so I'm OD-ing on vitamin C for now. However..there are a few things that are making me :

*Today I bought peppermint ice cream!! My all-time fave and it only comes out this time of the year! Yay times a million!!

*Although I don't get to live with Julie next year  I do get a single and with that..a king sized bed! (Feel free to sleep in it with me..I'll get lost in such a huge bed)

*It's present season again! I don't know what I'm getting for sure for sure, but I think David's going to get me a
1)Coach (or any really cute) bag and wallet..YAY!!
2)Bebe/Arden B. outfit/super cute coat/jacket
3)A ringy ring ring!
for Chistmas, my birthday, and our 6 year anniversary...I wonder what he'll get for which occasion!! I'm guessing bag for x-mas, outfit for b-day, and ring for anniversary! Ahhhhh! Sooooo excited!! I swear..it only seems like I'm spoiled. We really do spoil each other..I think I'm getting  him rims and a kick ass suit!! Oh joy for presents!!

*I already bought presents for my entire family..phew!

*Congrats to my daddy for getting his real estate license..he and my mommy are going to be a GREAT team!!..and now he doesn't have to wake up at 5:30 every morning to go to work in the city! I'm so proud of him!

*I am very pleased with my latest shoe purchase:
They're so cute! **Hint hint** I would LOVVVVVVVE matching shirts/accessories/etc. for x-mas or bday..so if you're reading this Lianne...now you know what they look like! Love you!

*Merry XXX-mas tomorrow!!

Okay..time for America's Next Top Model! I want Eva to go home!! She's cute, but what a biatch!!

OMG! I can't believe I forgot to write about Big Game!! By the way, we SLAUGHTERED them! GO BEARS!!

You have got to read this! It was printed in the Stanford Daily Newspaper!

Go Bears
This weekend, Cal dominated our football team. No big surprise.
Irrelevant. This column is not about football. Spencer Porter’s got us
beat when it comes to sport. He also has us beat when it comes to Friday
recess.

Enough ballyhoo. What we’re here to say is that Stanford’s Cal-bashing is a
load of nonsense. Rubbish. Malarkey. It’s more reflective of a pervasive
inferiority complex than of any supposed superiority.

The fact is this: Berkeley is pretty much unequivocally better than Stanford.
That’s a bold statement, and we’re here to make it. If anything, Berkeley
does not need to “Burst any Bubbles.” They’re living in the real world, not
this palm tree-laden, Sunday brunch-studded adventure of ours.

Let’s start by comparing each college’s college town.

University Avenue is littered with overpriced chic restaurants catering to
yuppie 20-something-folk, no fewer than three Persian rug stores and multiple
independent theaters. We like independent theaters. So we’ve bat one for
three. Not bad in baseball. Bad by any Stanford grading standard.

Telegraph Avenue offers restaurants with the finest five-dollar plates of ethnic
cuisine, record shops with sounds the likes of which your Dashboard Confe-
ssional-loving emo self has never heard and homeless drug addicts, not the
entrepreneur-gone-bust-in-the-dotcom-boom vagrants of Palo Alto.
Something about Berkeley’s homeless reeks of legitimacy.

Let’s continue by comparing each institution’s academics.

You’re not smarter than the Berkeley crowd. Remember all that crap they
feed you freshman year about how you all really deserve to be here? Wake
up, kiddos. Reality: it’s all a load of bulwarky. There’s someone at Berkeley
way more qualified than you, but less willing to shell out the big bucks for
private school. Or they were less approved of by our admissions department.

Those of us that are from out of state are lucky not to have to deal with the
guilt of knowing we’re paying three times as much for a less rigorous
education. They actually have to do some hard work to get good non-inflated grades across the bay. They sink or swim over there. If we don’t swim, we
get to sit down with our friendly advisors from the UAC for milk, cookies and a pep talk at the CoHo.

Anyways, onto our good point (as if we ever have such a thing). How do we
psych ourselves up for Big Game? Gaieties. Now, we hate to hate on
Gaieties, but how the hell is a musical theater production supposed to get
people psyched up for a football game? Imagine if someone told you that Cal
was organizing a sick mass ballet routine to get revved up for Big Game.
What would you think? I know . . . let’s sign up for a five-unit yoga class next quarter.

This all begs the question: why haven’t the two of us just gotten into our
bumbling brown Mercedes and skedaddled up I-880?

You’re right. We haven’t, and we won’t. We’re walking ironies. In fact, we
can’t wait to stay here another year. As much as this place pales in
comparison to Berkeley, we’d still rather be here than there. It’s kind of like
belonging to a country club. You recognize that you’re an undeserving
privileged youngster and that everyone else is probably a hell of a lot more
genuine and interesting than you, but shit, your membership was by invitation
only. Suck on that.

Randomness:

*I just got back from watching National Treasure. It is such a grrrrrreat movie! It was exciting and really funny! You should totally totally totally go watch it!

*Apparently Cal is the second best university in THE WORLD!

*It's almost the end of the semester so I'm streesed and I've got huge  projects/papers due

*I have definitely become addicted to eBay.

*The theme of our invitational in December is super cute! XXX-Mas Get it?

*I'm tired. We had a staff meeting at CPK today @ 8. Boo.

*I'm getting my hair done on Tuesday!! I'm thinking either dark highlights or going brown for winter..not sure yet..

*I LOVE LOVE LOVE my tall pink UGGs!! They're warm, so comfy, and I love squishing my toes in the sheepskin!

***HIGHLIGHT OF THE DAY: I surprisingly got a $20 tip on a $50 tab at work today from a family that I thought was going to be bitchy! That's like the third time this has happened to me in the last couple weeks! I love
it when happiness and $$$ come from unexpected places! Joy!***
